North African sister from another mister, Soultana (Morocco) is representing with this song “Sawt Nssa” (Womens Voices). The music is subtitled in English.

“Nowadays, I feel society is sick and we (the rappers) are the cure. The Moroccan  government, for example, is trying so hard to kill the local hip-hop movement because it’s the voice of the people, thinking that our words will start a revolution the same as has happened in other countries in the Arab world (over the last 18-months)).”

“ You will find no real rappers in festivals or other events. […] The streets are a paradise for us – all of the hip-hop generation – where we can live hip-hop and rap, B-boy, DJ and write graffiti. It’s where I feel free.”
