#HipHop in recognition of the #RIO+20 conference. This song “Hold On” by Jamala and Remedy from the Republic of Vanuatu was recognized by the Rio +20 Global Youth Music Contest. It mixes Pacific guitar strumming and truth speak about their daily experiences as it relates to climate change, poverty and visions for change.

I love the fact that this was made by young people from Vanuatu, rather than having an ‘outsider’ come in to tell their respective stories…
